John Andreas, age 87 of Lincoln, Nebraska died on Sunday, January 8, 2012 in Lincoln. He was born on March 15, 1924 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Kosmas and Katherine (Chico) Andreas. He served in the US Army during World War II. John married Faye Neil on December 26, 1948 in Lincoln.
John worked for Veteran’s Administration at the Lincoln Air Base and at Offutt Air Force Base. He was a former manager of the Lincoln Housing Authority. In addition, he was very proud that he worked for the University of Nebraska Athletic Department for 49 years.
John is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Pam and Ted Ricciardello of Keller, Texas; Cheryl and Doug Luedtke of Lincoln; granddaughters, Jennifer Ricciardello of Dallas, Texas; Laura Ricciardello of Birmingham, Alabama; Melissa Luedtke of Bedford, Texas and Shawna Luedtke of Lincoln. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Faye and a brother George.
Private family visitation.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, January 13, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Wyuka Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Wyuka Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to the Capital Humane Society or Disabled Veteran’s.
