Leo Earl Taylor

Leo Earl Taylor, age 84 of Lincoln, died January 12, 2012.  He was born to Harry and Minnie (Felton) Taylor on July 19, 1927 in Lincoln.  Leo married Shirley Imogene Bliss on September 26, 1945.  They made their home in Lincoln.  Leo worked as a Lincoln City Fireman, with the Lincoln Public Schools,  was a plumber at Greens Furnace and Plumbing and ended his career with Lincoln Parks and Recreation.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, ShirleyTaylor; Sons and Daughters-in-law:  Ed and Joan Taylor of Lincoln; Mike and Connie Taylor of Wilber,  Lee and Judy Taylor of Lincoln.  Brother and Sister-in-law:  Lloyd and Marlene Taylor of Lincoln.  7 Grandchildren and 7 Great grandchildren.  Leo is preceded in death by his parents; 2 Brothers: Albert and Ralph; 3 Sisters: Mabel, Helen and Gladys.  Son: John Taylor.

Services will be held at Wyuka Funeral Home on Monday, January 16, 2012 at 10:30 A.M.

Visitation will be held at Wyuka Funeral Home on Sunday, January 15, 2012 from Noon until 8:00 P.M.  Leo’s family will be greet friends on Sunday from 5:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.

Burial will be at Wyuka Cemetery.

Memorials may be left for Journey House, in care of Tabitha Hospice, 4720 Randolph St.  Lincoln, NE.  68510

  1. Dearest Aunt Imogene. So sad to hear of Uncle Leo’s passing. We send our Prayers and Blessings to you and your family. All of these years we did not know that his birthday was the same as our Mama.
