Denore Marie Shoup

Denore M. Shoup, age 59 of Lincoln, passed away with her family by her side on August 29, 2013.  She was born March 13, 1954 in Buffalo, New York to John R. and Jane M. (Kopp) Bossinger.  Denore was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Jim Shoup of Lincoln.  Son: Pete Shoup of Lincoln.  Her grandson, Dillon Shoup, who was the light of her life.  Sisters and Brothers-in-law: Denise Koziel of New York, Diane and Thomas Zulawski of New York, Donna and Ed Falco of Arizona.  Brothers and Sisters-in-law: John H. and Lucille Bossinger of Illinois, Jeff and Cindy Bossinger of New York.  Special friend: Synda Horsham of Lincoln.  Sister-in-law: Tammy Bossinger of New York.  She was preceded in death by her brother, Joel James Bossinger and a brother-in-law, David Koziel.

Services will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel at Wyuka Funeral Home.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 from 10:30 A.M. until service time.

Burial with military honors will be at Wyuka Cemetery.

Memorials may be left to the Alpha 1-antitrypsin deficiency association or the family.

  2. To my beautiful baby sister. I miss you more than you will ever know. I will miss our crazy conversations during our weekly call. Know we will be together again. Get Dad,mom, Joel and Dave together and start planning for the party when we reunite again. Know you will be sadly missed by so many people who’s lives you’ve touched. We will be here for Jim, Dillon, and Peter to help them through this extremely difficult time. I love you sis and miss you so much. Love you. Denise

  4. Heaven is receiving a very special angel; she had the most infectious laugh and she always made a point to call me on each and every birthday. She will truly be missed and my prayers are going out to the rest of the family, including uncle jim, peter and dillon.

  5. My Deepest Sympathy goes out to my cuz Denore & All of her Family and Loved ones she leaves behind!! Denore is definitely an Angel above and will be watching and guiding from above just as she did in real life! Jim, Pete & Dillon, Diane, Donna, Denise, John, Tammy & Jeff and families, you all have my heartfelt condolences and I pray for the strength you will need in the days, weeks, months & years ahead to deal with your devastating loss! I will miss her as well…even though we didn’t have much contact, I still kept Denore and her family in my thoughts and prayers and will continue to do so! Love to all – Barb

  7. To my Amazing beautiful BABY SISTER. I Love You and will miss you especially all our talks and laughs we had together. Those will and always will be so precious and in my heart forever. Get the party started for us as we will be together again. Oh how we had so much fun when you were here and anytime we were together. May your family draw comfort and strength in the days,weeks and months ahead from the beautiful and guaranteed promises made to us from Our Very Loving Creator Jehovah God in His Holy Word The Bible.John 5:28,29, Revelation 21:4,5 and Isaiah 25:8 he promises to bring your dearly beloved Denore back to life in the resurrection right here on earth and to swallow up death,sickness and sorrow forever.

  9. I spent time with Dee in Japan while we served in the Navy. She & her husband Jim were the kindest, most welcoming people – like family. I lost track of her through the years & am sad to find her here – no doubt a tremendous loss to many. I can still hear her laugh. My sincere sympathies to Jim & Peter.
