Roger Jones, age 57 of Lincoln passed away October 30, 2013. He was born October 17, 1956 in Auburn, Nebraska to Richard Jones and Norma (Reed) Botts. Roger worked for Brandt Excavating in Lincoln.
Survivors include his mother, Norma Botts of Lincoln. Brother and Sister-in-law, Randy and Julie Jones of Syracuse, Nebraska. Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at Wyuka Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until service time on Tuesday, November 5th at Wyuka Funeral Home. Interment with military honors will be at Wyuka Cemetery.

The Nebraska Patriot Guard Riders are deeply saddened by the loss of another one of our true American Heroes. We are privileged to have been invited by the grieving family to Honor our Hero by participating in his service.
Norma, Randy and rest of the family Roger will be missed. I am so sorry to hear that he passed. I can remember the days we all went to school together and played together in the neighborhood. I was very proud of Roger for severing our Country as long as he did. May GOD comfort all of you and know that he is in a much better place than we are right now. R.I.P.

Roger will be missed by all of the truck driver who have had the honor of knowing him. My thoughts are with the family in during their time of need.
I think the one thing I will remember most about Roger was his dry sense of humor. To the family Mrs. Jones and Randy so sorry for you lose, Randy just remember he is in a much better place and now little brother is watching over you. R.I.P. Roger.
To all of Roger’s family – We were saddened to hear that our loved & respected long-time friend had died. He will be greatly missed! Just weeks before his passing, Roger bragged that he hadn’t missed a graduation, wedding, or party in our family. He was family. We remember meeting him at the airport the night he returned from Desert Storm (so proud of his service to our country) & his love of his trucks & motorcycles…so many memories. He brought so much laughter & fun into our lives. It’s hard to say goodbye, but we’ll see him again! We’re keeping you in our prayers.
Memories! I have so many dancin with you and you never letting go of me. And you sayin “hang on to my hand”. Times you would stop by and visit Dani and I. I will use my hand drill and think of you with a smile. The Lord has called my wonderful friend home. I will rejoice in this day and celebrate your life. I am Blessed to have known you. We will dance and visit again one day. I love you Rodger Dodger
There are so many memories of Roger. The one thing that will always stand out is his smile. No matter what was going on, he always had a smile and a hug for anyone. We can take comfort in knowing that you are watching over us from above and waiting for us to arrive. We will miss you so deeply and you will be forever in our thoughts. Love you “my” Roger.
