Memorial graveside service to be held 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, the 25th of May, at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Nehawka, NE.

The family requests no flowers. Preferred are gifts to the American Cancer Society and the ASPCA.

Eula Ilene Reed

April 14, 2014

Eula Ilene Reed, age 85 of Lincoln passed away April 14, 2014 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s.   She was born April 5, 1929 in Western, Nebraska to Theodore Robert and Elsie Margaret (Krajnik) Gross.  Eula was married to John H. Reed on May 25, 1951 in Western, Nebraska.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, John H. Reed of Lincoln.  Daughter and Son-in-law, Lori and Troy Christensen and their children Evan R. Christensen and Jesse R. Christensen all of Omaha.  Son and Daughter-in-law, Lane and Shelley Reed of Bee, Nebraska.  Sister, LaRae Betka of Geneva, Nebraska and a sister-in-law, Pauline Gross of Westminister, Colorado.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Brother, Richard Gross and brother-in-law, Edward Betka.

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 17th at Wyuka Funeral Home.  Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 16th from 1:00-7:00 P.M. with the family greeting friends from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at Wyuka Funeral Home.  Interment will be at Wyuka Cemetery.

Mabel M. Tichota

TichotaMabel M. Tichota, age 89, of  Lincoln passed away April 1, 2014.  She was born June 30, 1924 in Pierce, Nebraska to Willy and Frieda (Dranselka) Ahlman.

Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Caroline Province of Lincoln, Kathleen and Bill Roussan of Salem, Nebraska.  Sons and Daughters-in-law, Randolph and Katherine Tichota of Lincoln, James and Judy Tichota of Lincoln, Marlan and Donna Tichota of Oklahoma.  Brothers, Larry Ahlman and Arnold Ahlman.  Sisters, Gladys Harbison, Sarah Mosel, Vera Oestrich.  9 Grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.  Mabel was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Tichota, her parents, 7 brothers and 3 sisters.

Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Evangelical United Lutheran Church, 5945 Fremont St.  Visitation will be on Friday, April 4th at Wyuka Funeral Home from 1:00-8:00 P.M. with the family greeting friends from 7:00-8:00 P.M.

Interment will be at Wyuka Cemetery.
