Ardaith V. “Ardie” Eitel

EitelArdaith “Ardie” Eitel age 68 of Lincoln, passed away December 25, 2014 with her husband and daughters by her side.  She was born September 14, 1946 in Lincoln to David K. and Marguerite (Cowell) Titterington.

Survivors include her husband, Tom Eitel of Lincoln.  Daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Marguerite and Michael Borrenpohl of Tecumseh, Nebraska; Tracey Ann Eitel Neidner and Duane Neidner of Lincoln.  Mother, Marguerite Titterington of Lincoln.  Sisters and brother-in-law, Kay Kirchhoff of Lincoln; Margo and Gary Larson of Pleasant Dale, Nebraska.  Brother and sister-in-law, David and Linda Titterington of Lincoln.  Grandchildren, Kyle and Sarah Borrenpohl; Kysen Neidner.  Step grandchildren, Breanna Lopez, Hanna Borrenpohl and Michael Borrenpohl Jr.  Great grandson, Ryker Triplett.  Step great granddaughter, Alexandria Lopez.  Nieces and Nephews.  Preceded in death by her father, David and Nephew, Greg Kirchhoff.

Craig A. Bolus

December 23, 2014

Fall pond 1CRAIG A. BOLUS, age 54, of Lincoln passed away at his residence on Sunday, December 21, 2014. Survivors include his son, Brian C. Bolus of Lincoln; and his mother Eleanor June Simpson of Lincoln.

He is preceded in death by his infant daughter Michelle Bolus and his grandparents.

There will be a private family burial at Wyuka Cemetery in Lincoln.

Shonn Clancy

Shonn Clancy, age 43 of Lincoln passed away December 14, 2014.  He was born May 6, 1971 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Michael Lee Clancy and LeAnn (Lewis) Hammar.

Survivors include his wife Ann Clancy, son Michael Patrick Clancy and daughter Olivia Sean Clancy all of Lincoln.  Mother and step father, LeAnn and David Hammar of Lincoln.  Father and step mother, Michael and Pamela Clancy of Corona, California.  Sister, Heather Payden of Tea, South Dakota.  Step Brothers and spouses, Michael Cotton and Linda Mahan of Yorba Linda, California; Shawn and Brenda Clancy of Pico Rivera, California.  Step sister and Spouse, Nicole and Steven Emfinger of Eastvale, California; Half sister, Liz Degarmo of Lincoln.  Grandparents, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 20th at Sheridan Lutheran Church, 6955 Old Cheney Rd.  Lincoln.  No viewing or visitation.

Brian K. Grell

Brian Keith Grell age 54, of Lincoln, passed away December 14, 2014 with his family by his side.  He was born January 16, 1960 in Lincoln to Richard Sr. and Martha (Hartshorn) Grell.  Brian loved to play golf with his sons and enjoyed coaching for Gerry’s Legion Baseball, Runza Midget Football and the Lincoln Sox select baseball team.

Survivors include his wife Kathy of Lincoln; Daughter and son-in-law: Tara and Jeremiah Carlson of Lincoln; Sons and daughters-in-law: Lance and Jenna Grell of Phoenix, Ethan and Samantha Grell of Lincoln.  “Papa’s” grandchildren, Jaylee, Jovee, Jaycee Carlson; Easton Grell; Braelynn Grell.  Mother: Martha Grell of Lincoln.  Brothers and sister-in-law: Richard Jr. and Cheryl Grell; Mark Grell.  Sister and Brother-in-law: Laura and Eric Maxwell all of Lincoln.  Mother-in-law: Marcella Matthes of Lincoln.  Sisters-in-law and spouses: Vicki and Gary Rockel of Lincoln; Sharon and Leon Krusemark of Denton.  Brother-in-law: Dan Matthes of New Albany, Ohio.  Preceded in death by his father, Richard Grell, Sr. and father-in-law, Vernon Matthes.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 1144 “M” Street, Lincoln.  Private family inurnment at Wyuka Cemetery.  No viewing or visitation.

Edward J. Sr. and June Y. Moss

Moss, Ed and JuneOn December 5, 2014, Edward J. Moss, Sr. age 94 born in Oak Grove, Missouri, joined his beloved June, age 88 born in Lincoln, Nebraska, who preceded him to the gates of Glory on June 15th of this year.  Edward Jewell Moss, Sr. married June Yvonne Pierce, by proxy, in Lincoln, Nebraska on February 17, 1945.  The marriage lasted for over 69 years.  Edward and June are survived by their son and his wife, Ed and Nancy Moss of Alexandria, Kentucky; sister Geraldine Steward of Kingsville, Missouri and sister-in-law, Vera Sautter of Alliance, Nebraska.  4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and 11 nieces and nephews with their spouses and their children.

A celebration of life will be held at Wyuka Funeral Home in Lincoln, Nebraska on April 4, 2015 at 1:00 P.M.

Ed and June requested any memorial funds be sent to Asbury United Methodist Church, 2916 Alexandria Pike, Highland Heights, Kentucky  41076.  Attention: Goshorn missionary fund.

Walter E. Witt

December 5, 2014

WittWalter E. Witt, age 93, of Lincoln, formerly of Hastings, died December 3, 2014.  He was born December 2, 1921 in Hastings to Carl F. “Fred” and Frances C. (Harlow) Witt.  Walter graduated from Hastings High School, Hastings College and the University of Nebraska Lincoln.  As a young man Walter earned his Eagle Scout Award through the Boy Scouts of America.  He served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the 40th Combat Engineers Regiment.  Walter was employed as a civil engineer with the Nebraska Department of Roads for more than 50 years.  He was honored as a lifetime elder with Capitol City Christian Church.  Walter also served as past secretary of the Capital City Kiwanis and past Chaplin and Commander of the 40th combat engineer reunions.

Survivors include his wife Geraldine “Gerry” Witt of Lincoln; Daughters, Kristin Witt of St. Louis, Missouri; Julie (David) Kohrell of Lincoln.  Grandchildren, Rachael, Joshua and Annaliese Kohrell.  Step children, Ben Jr. (Cheryl) Shaw of Richmond, Virginia; Derald Shaw of Parker, Colorado and Diane (Ken) Gleaves of Willmar, Minnesota.  11 Step grandchildren; 3 Step great grandchildren.  Preceded in death by Parents, 10 siblings, his first wife, Marilyn, and step son, Dennis Shaw.

Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at Capitol City Christian Church, 7800 Holdrege St. Lincoln.

Visitation will be at Wyuka Funeral Home on Monday, December 8, 2014 from 5:00-8:00 P.M.

Interment with military honors will be at 2:30 P.M. on Tuesday, December 9th at Wyuka Cemetery.  Family and friends will meet at the   Vine St. entrance prior to 2:30 P.M.

Memorials may be left for Capitol City Christian Church, Capital City Kiwanis, Hastings College or Boy Scouts of America.

 

Shirley M. Hartley

fall at Wyuka sec 13SHIRLEY M. HARTLEY, age 91, of Lincoln passed away on Dec. 1, 2014. She was born in Shelby, NE the daughter of Hans A. and Myrtle (Bost) Johansen.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Richard D. Hartley in 1999; two foster daughters, Kathy Tollefsrud and Carla Stoehr Johnson; and seven siblings.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
