ROBERT GERALD LASWELL, age 61, of Lincoln, passed away on January 28, 2015 at his home.
Rob was influential to many people. He encouraged others to be their best, which often included helping them to get help for themselves. After many years of traveling and moving, he settled down in Lincoln where he spent time volunteering for groups like NAMI, reading or watching movies, exploring different music, and enjoying his family and friends. He will be missed greatly.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 5th, at Wyuka Funeral Home Chapel, 3600 “O” Street, Lincoln , NE with the family minister officiating. Burial will follow in Wyuka Cemetery. There will be no viewng or visitation. Family and friends will gather for a small luncheon in Wyuka’s Garden Room after Burial.
Rob was a good man and will be missed by the recovery community. It is not how long a person has been sober, clean or in recovery…it is whether they gave in an honest effort. Rob gave it an honest effort and he made us all better for it. Thanks, Rob. RIP, brother !
