Pearl Mae (Wallace) Decker

SKM_C284e16011415220_0001-001Pearl Decker, 89, of Lincoln, peacefully met her Lord Jesus on Jan. 13, 2016.  Born to Ernie and Lilly Higgins on Sep. 11, 1926.

Preceded in death by husbands, Robert Wallace and Clyde Decker.

Survived by daughters Priscilla (Harold) Goossen, Betty (Bob) Hoffman, Phyllis (Tom) Mann, and Ruth (John) Merrett; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.

Rejoicing in her Life at 10:00 a.m. on Mon. Jan. 18, 2016 at Grace Community Evangelical Church, 6843 South Street, Lincoln.  There will be a Visitation from 6 – 8 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 17, at Wyuka Funeral Home, 3600 “O” St., Lincoln.

Oct. 10, 1933 – Dec. 20, 2015

Memorial Service at 11:30 a.m. on Sat. Jan. 23, 2016 at Wyuka Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial of Cremains to follow in Wyuka Cemetery and Park.

Preceded in death by her parents, Lucille and John Minne, husband Morris and son John. Survived by daughter Lynn Salzinger (Fred); grandchildren, Shannon Roberts, Kyle Schrader (Kelly), Ben and Sam Salzinger; great grandchildren, Lily, Jacob, Ruby and Kristopher Schrader.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Lincoln Food Bank or Crowell Memorial Home in Blair, NE.

Mildred Klein Heaton

HeatonMildred Klein Heaton, age 88, passed away January 9, 2016. She was born August 17, 1927 in Lincoln to John and Katherine (Stehr) Klein.  Mildred was a co-owner of Klein’s IGA and Bakery, 11th & G streets, and started work at a very young age.  The bakery was started in 1928 by her parents, which eventually grew to include a grocery store, liquor store and discount grocery store in the same cluster of buildings.

Mildred is survived by her son Michael and his wife Sally, grandchildren Hannah and Andrew all of Overland Park, Kansas.  Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Lt Col (USAF Ret) James, her parents, sister Gertrude, and bothers Edward and Wesley Klein.

Celebration of life services will be at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, January 15, 2016 at Wyuka Funeral Home with visitation from 9:00 A.M. until service time and family greeting friends from 11:30 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Wyuka Funeral Home.  Due to the cold temperature all services will be held indoors.

Marilyn J. Runyan

Runyan Marilyn

Marilyn June Runyan, 85, of Lincoln, Neb. passed away Jan. 11, 2016 at her home. Born June 30, 1930 to Ralph and Wilma (Morrisey) Blue in Tecumsah, Neb.  She married Jack Fuller Runyan in Dec., 1953.

She came to Lincoln at the early age of 17 and started working at Elgin watch. Many years of retail service followed, including King’s Restaurant; Sears Roebuck; Supersaver Card Dept.; and volunteering at St. Elizabeth Hospital.  Marilyn was an avid Huskers fan since 1966, loved gardening, her dogs, especially home projects, and traveling with Jack.

Marilyn will be missed by sons Mike (Lori) of Lincoln and Mark (Sharon) of Lincoln; daughter Lisa; and grandsons Alex and Drew Shepard of Shawnee, Kan.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thurs., Jan. 14, 2016 at Wyuka Funeral Home Chapel, 3600 “O” St., Lincoln.  No Visitation, private burial service.  Memorials to the family for a charitable contribution in Marilyn’s memory at a later date.  Condolences www.wyuka.com

 

Pedigo, BettyBetty L. “Granny” Pedigo age 91 of Lincoln passed away January 6, 2016.  She was born August 31, 1924 in Florence, Nebraska to Clyde Miller Sr. and Jennie (Thordsen) Miller.  Betty lived the first half of her life in Council Bluffs, Iowa but called Lincoln her home for the last 44 years.  She retired from the University of Nebraska Lincoln food service after 25 plus years.  Betty was a proud mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She was a joy to everyone who got the priveledge to know her.  Her amazing quick wit and charm won people over wherever she went.  Whether it was playing cards, making puzzles or gong to keno or playing bingo, she was always on the go.

Survivors include her son Robert Miller of Council Bluffs, Iowa; daughters and son-in-law, Cheryl Miller of Lincoln, JoAnn and Bill Wallen of Lincoln, Paula Terpsma of Waverly.  Daughter-in-law, Cindy Miller, brother Clyde Miller Jr. and his wife Marge of Council Bluffs.  She had 10 grandchildren, Michele Miller, Claudia Yupes, Tina and Adam Hansen, Cassie Kosch, Melanie Herrmann, Kristen and Brett Robertson, Jennifer and Kyle Kohn, Robert Wallen, Lexi Wallen, Tiffany Terpsma and 15 amazing great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Genevieve, Brother Paul, son Kent Miller, daughter Suzie McCauley and great grandson Cody Terpsma.

Services will be at Noon on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Wyuka Funeral Home.  Private family visitation only.  Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, 84th and Adams St.

Raymond R. Krause

KrauseRaymond Krause, age 77 of Lincoln died December 31, 2015.  Born June 24, 1938 to Ross and Frances Krause of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. Veteran of the U.S. Air Force; enjoyed camera’s, leather work, and calligraphy.  He enjoyed being around his family especially his granddaughters and his nine great grandkids.

Survivors include; daughters Deb Greving, Tina (Rob) Krause-Hebbard, Terri Krause, all of Lincoln, Tammy (Dave) Leff of Seward, granddaughters Stacia (Greving) Beyer, Cassandra Greving, Courtney Krause, Nichole (John) Javorsky, Melanie Leff, great-grandchildren Chloe, Deighton, Ava, Gavin, Dylan, Tyson, Tessa, Madisyn and Ethan. Sister Helen Mozick, Brother John (Marcella) Krause, many nieces, nephews, friends.

Preceded in death by; wife, Betty (Bridges), parents, brother Charlie Krause, sister-in-law Eva; brother-in-law Regis Mozick.

Celebration of life will be held at 10am Tuesday January 5th, 2016 at Wyuka Chapel 3600 O Street, Lincoln Ne.
