Gerald H. Schroeder

Schroeder, GeraldGerald H. Schroeder, son of Herb and Myrtle Schroeder, was born on June 15, 1944 in Boise, Idaho.  He departed this life November 26, 2015 in Lincoln, Nebraska at his home to join his heavenly Father at the age of 71.  He grew up in North Platte, Nebraska where he graduated from North Platte High School.  He married Elizabeth Gillespie on November 24, 1967.  Gerald enlisted into the U.S. Marine Corps on January 30, 1964.  His enlistment ended on January 29, 1968, serving four years and had a final rank of Sgt.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Herb and Myrtle Schroeder.  Left to treasure in his memory is his wife, Elizabeth of Lincoln; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Francine Schroeder, Patrick Schroeder and Buffy Fisher.  Sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Joe Wilson; 4 granddaughters and 2 great grandchildren.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Wyuka Funeral Home.  Interment of ashes will be at 2:30 P.M. on Friday, December 4th at Leavenworth National Cemetery in Leavenworth, Kansas.

Memorials may be given to the family for a later designation.

  2. To all of Jerry’s Family: You are in our hearts and prayers; may God comfort you in this time of sorrow. We are so glad we got to visit with you at Myrtle’s burial service, although that was not a happy time either.
