Janice G. Predoehl

Janice Goeller Predoehl of Lincoln entered eternal rest on May 2 at the age of 89, surrounded by family. Janice was born May 17, 1928 in Pilger, Nebraska to Ida and John Goeller, Sr.  Janice was a devoted mother and grandmother.  She is survived by her daughters Jane (Andrew) Sonneland and Virginia Predoehl, and sons Vincent Predoehl and James (Sue) Predoehl, grandchildren Heather (German) Musch, Andrew (Jennifer) Sonneland, Jr., Jessica Predoehl, Nathan Predoehl, and Anna Predoehl and five great-grandchildren.  Also survived by her brother John (Mardelle) Goeller, Jr. and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Preceded in death by her parents.

Janice graduated from Wayne State College. She enjoyed being active in many church and civic groups. She served as Nebraska State President of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs after years of service to the organization at the local, district, and state levels.  She shared her love of music as a teacher and music store owner.  Her belief in the importance of home led her to a successful career as a realtor in Lincoln.  The influences of growing up on a farm during the depression in a family with a strong Christian faith helped shape her values throughout her life.

A celebration of Janice’s life will be held on Monday, May 7, at 10:30 AM at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Lincoln. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 AM.  A lunch will be served following the service.  Interment will be at Stanton Cemetery in a family plot.  Memorials can be designated to Redeemer Lutheran Church.
