Eugene “Pete” L. Anthes

Eugene “Pete” Anthes of Lincoln, passed away March 18, 2019. Born July 2, 1936 to Floyd and Ethel Anthes in Clay Center, Nebraska.

He was a retired production engineer for NET. He was a member of Crestwood Christian Church and an honorable master mason.

Pete is survived by his daughter and daughter-in-law, Michelle Anthes and Judy Terveer; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Laura Anthes; grandchildren, Nick, Ben and Megan.

He was preceded in death by his wife; Mari (Stickels) Anthes.

Memorial service: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 23, at Wyuka Funeral Home, Lincoln. Memorials to Matt Talbot Kitchen & Outreach.

  1. I am saddened that Gene no longer with us. I was hoping to see Gene one more time. Gene was a very skillful engineer and great person.

  2. Dick and I went to high school in Clay Center, Nebraska…we graduated in 1953 and Eugene (as we knew him) in 1954. I talked to Eugene several times while living in Waverly. We always shared a mutual interest in how our high school friend Carrol Wilson was doing. Eugene was a good friend and fun high school classmate. You have our sincere thoughts and prayers at this time.
