Mickel E. Hrdlicka age 87 of Lincoln fell asleep at home and woke up in his new home with Jesus on February 3, 2022.  He was born April 5, 1934 in Lincoln to Thomas and Alice (Morgan) Hrdlicka.  Mickel was a 26 year retiree from the Army National Guard.

Survivors include his son Marc Hrdlicka of Weston, Nebraska, daughters and sons-in-law Marci and Thomas Sackie of Fairfax, Virginia, Malinda and Larry Collier of Lincoln, son Mickel Burgess of Lincoln; stepchildren and spouses Don and Troy Dougherty, Larry and Helen Dougherty all of Lincoln.  Dennis and Carol Dougherty of Seward, Kevin Dougherty of Greenwood, Mary Roberts and Cindy Setterlund both of Lincoln.  Brother Thomas Hrdlicka of Hawaii.  Several grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife Edyth, daughter Debbie Bickford, his parents, sister Alice Barbara Van Cleave and brother Harold Hrdlicka.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Wyuka Funeral Home.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday at Wyuka Funeral Home

Interment with military honors will be at Wyuka Cemetery following the service.
