Richard (Dick) Harvey Warman
Age 92
Preceded in death by his wife Iris (Hill), sister Gloria Park, and daughter Christine Warman.
Richard was born in St. Paul, Minnesota on July 29th, 1930. He passed away peacefully on September 4th, 2022, surrounded by family.
He attended Harding High School where he was a member of the swim team and graduated with a degree in business administration from the University of Minnesota.
He served honorably in the army during the Korean War and received a National Defense Service Medal.
In 1963, Richard permanently relocated to Lincoln, Nebraska. Richard, with two partners, founded Midlands Packaging Corporation in Lincoln in 1972. By 1982, he was the sole owner and continued to expand the company. Richard received the Business Owner of the Year award in 2012 from the Lincoln Independent Business Association.
Richard especially loved racing his cars, being with his dogs, and Saturday “lunch bunch” with his friends.
He is survived by son Steve (Sunny) Warman, daughters Lesley (Dwayne) Wolterstorff, and Susan Warman. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Celebration of Life on September 20th from 12-4:00pm at Hillcrest Country Club in Lincoln.

I am so sorry to hear of Dick’s passing. He was one of the most pleasant, knowledgeable, and caring people I have ever had a pleasure to know.
I had the honor of helping take care of Iris and Dick’s property, and a lot of their daily needs for over 25 years, and would do it again on a heartbeat!
I think of Iris a Lot, and am sure I will think of Dick a lot, as we talked almost daily when I was taking care of things for them.
I will truly miss him, He was definitely one of the Good Guys, and I will miss you Dick.
Dick Warman had a great life. Not only did he create a great life for himself but also for his family, friends and his business associates. I knew Dick for 30 years and in those 30 years he taught me a lot. He taught me about business and he taught me about “safety driving” which was done on a private race track. Dick Warman is one to remember for forever. Thank you Dick Warman.
I have had the up most pleasure of knowing and working with Richard for the last 6 years.
While he was usually quiet, he did have a little wit to him and a sense of humor. He laughed at my jokes just to make me feel good I’m sure.
I never met someone who could nap off and on all day and still get a good night sleep. But that was Richard.
My thoughts and prayers are with Richard’s family who I have gotten to know over the years.
