Judith Irene Zlotsky, 90, of Lincoln, died Feb 8, 2023. Born in El Paso, TX, on December 17, 1932, to Helen Burke Brownstein and Aaron “Brownie” Brownstein, she grew up in Houston, Denver, and Baltimore. She graduated Hall High School, West Hartford, CT, and Rhode Island School of Design, Providence, RI.
Judy was a dog lover and an avid collector of 19th- and 20th-century American prints with her husband, Dr. Norman Zlotsky. She started a business, The Print Collector, and had clients throughout New England and at print fairs in Connecticut and Washington, DC. They volunteered as docents at the Lyman Allyn Art Museum in New London, CT, and the Lux Center for the Arts and Sheldon Museum of Art in Lincoln. They also curated exhibitions at the Lyman Allyn and the Lux Center for the Arts in Lincoln.
The Zlotskys lived in Massachusetts, California, Texas, Kentucky, New York, and Connecticut. In 2006, they moved to Lincoln to be close to eldest daughter, Amy, and her family. Judy spent the last year at Southlake Village, living in a room next to Norm. She was happiest when talking about art and was proud of her children and grandchildren.
Judy is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, Norman; daughters Amy, Nancy, and Deborah (Michael); and five grandchildren, Richard Barad, Samuel Barad, Max Seiler, Aaron Hoagland, and Sarah Hoagland.
