Janelle F. Kepler
May 7, 1956 – August 14, 2024
Janelle Florence Kepler, a beloved wife, mother, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home in Lincoln, NE, on August 14, 2024. Her life was a testament to resilience, strength, and love, qualities she exhibited in abundance throughout her life.
Jan was a survivor in every sense of the word. In 1991 she was diagnosed with kidney disease. In 2009, she received a transplant that extended her life and allowed her to continue sharing her warmth and kindness with those she loved. Her courage in facing an immunosuppressed life was an inspiration to all who knew her.
Jan’s legacy is one of conviction and commitment. She lived her life with unwavering principles, standing firm in her beliefs and values. Her determination and strength of character were evident in every aspect of her life, from her passion on women’s rights, to her 49 years of marriage and dedication to her family.
Jan is survived by her loving family, who were the center of her world. “We love you Mom and miss you dearly.”
A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held in Jan’s honor on October 4, 2024, at Isles Reception Hall. The event will begin at 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation in Jan’s memory. Donations can be made at www.kidney.org.
I just heard about Jan’s passing. She worked with me at Kahoa. I had just moved to Lincoln and she was a godsend. I couldn’t have asked for a better person to work with. She loved her kids and was always so proud of them. May she find comfort in God’s arms. The world is missing her bright smile and infectious laugh.
