Janet May Lubben

February 3, 1939 – September 22, 2024

Janet May Lubben, 85, of Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2024. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, whose warmth and care touched the lives of many.

Janet is survived by her sons, Jeffrey Lubben and his wife Lori, and Jim Lubben and his wife Heidi. She leaves behind five cherished grandchildren: Jennifer Johnson, Kimber Lubben, Anthony Lubben, Tyler Lubben, and Garrison Lubben, as well as six great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy. Janet was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ronald Lubben, her parents, and her grandson, Andrew Lubben.

A dedicated and passionate businesswoman, Janet owned and operated her own beauty salon, where she built lasting relationships with her clients and became a beloved fixture in her community.

A memorial service to honor Janet’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at United Lutheran Church in Lincoln. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the family for further designation.

  1. Aunt Janet you will be dearly missed. We had so much fun together the past two years taking road trips to Sterling and Beatrice. All the jokes and singing nursery rymmes. We will always Love You, may you RIP

    • Jan was a sweet lady. I always enjoyed golfing with her at Wellington Greens and the fun we had the day she invited all of us to their cabin. Heaven has gained another angel.

  3. Jan was a sweetheart. I really enjoyed my days playing golf with her at wellington Greens. I will never forget the day she invited us up to the cabin. Heaven has gained another sweet angel.
