November 16, 1952 – February 27, 2025
Duane Keck of Lincoln, Nebraska, sadly passed away on February 27, 2025, at the age of 72. He was born in Lincoln on November 16, 1952, to Clifford and Maria Keck.
A lifelong sports fan, Duane was a devoted supporter of Nebraska Cornhuskers football and the St. Louis Cardinals. He also had a passion for collecting antiques, always finding joy in discovering unique treasures. His love for sports, history, and collecting brought him many friendships and great memories throughout his life.
Duane is survived by his brother, Terry (Vicki) Keck; his niece, Maria (Jake) Spidel; and five great-nieces and nephews—Alexandria, Samantha, Jenna, Jacob, and Thomas. He will also be dearly missed by his friends and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Maria Keck.
Duane’s love for family, friends, and the things that brought him joy will be remembered by all who knew him
Dewey was a legend at East High, where he worked for many years. Always friendly, always quick with a story to share, he was a good man.
I will miss “Dewey’s” phone calls to stay in touch from our East High days and, of course, his unremitting orneriness.
Dewey as he was affectionately called by his friends a great guy I knew him from a group of men who had coffee at Casey’s on 13th and E always quick with a joke or story he treated the employees with respect and jokelminly always asked if they needed help he was on his coffee break !,rest in peace Dewey!
