Ada Marie (Hinzmann) Meeske, age 95, of Lincoln, died April 8, 2012. She was born September 8, 1916 to Herman and Martha (Jahnke) Hinzmann at Western, Saline County, Nebraska. Ada was baptized on October 13, 1916, in St. John’s Evangelical Church in Western, NE, by Rev. Alex Henning. She was confirmed at St. John’s in 1930. She attended District 39 School in Saline County. On November 7, 1935, she was united in marriage to Henry Meeske by Rev. Henning at St. John’s Evangelical. They lived on farms in the Daykin and Western areas until retirement in 1975. In 1976 they moved to Lincoln to be near their sons.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Henry, parents, brothers Ernest and Kenneth, and sister, Hilda Krajnik. Survivors are sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Carolyn of Wichita, Kansas, Gene and Marilyn, Gary and Dee, and Gerald and Nancy, all of Lincoln, nine grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, brother and sister-in-law, Herman and Verneeda Hinzmann, as well as nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 13, 2012, at 1:00 P.M. in United Lutheran Church, 5945 Fremont St. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 13, 2012 from 11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. in United Lutheran Church.
