Betty Lou Vietz age 69 of Lincoln, Nebraska died on Saturday, June 9, 2012 in Lincoln. She was born on March 27, 1943 in St. Paul, Nebraska to Lawrence and Eleanor (Joynt) Becker. She was married to Donald Vietz for 28 years. Betty owned and operated a daycare out of her home for 25 years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her family meant everything to her. She was a member of the Calvary Community Church.
Betty is survived by her husband, Don of Lincoln; daughters, Kathy (Kyle) Rice of Lincoln; Pam (Tom) Houser of Mercer, North Dakota; Jennifer Wright of Raymond; Sherri (Steve) Weiss of Sterling; Robyn Dunlap of Palmyra; sons, Mike (Gail) Corning of Pontiac, Illinois; Billy (Heather) Corning of Dorchester; 16 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Bonnie Hennesy of Lincoln. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Steven Corning, and her brother-in-law, Jim Hennesy.
Cremation, no visitation.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at 11:30 A.M. at the Calvary Community Church with Pastor Cleve Smith officiating.
Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
We are very saddened and feel a deep loss that Betty has passed on but will treasure all of the memories, laughter, good times and generosity, love and kindness that she bestowed upon our family. Wishing you all comfort and prayers at this time. Gayle and Bruce and family

Our family remembers Betty fondly.She and my mother Jenene were dear friends for many years and as children we have many fond memories of her.Thank you to those that made it possible for all of us to see her in late 2010 at our family reunion and parents 60th wedding anniversary.She will be missed and our thoughts and prayers are with family and friends.
