Arlo Hilbert (Hack) Hackbart age 85 of Lincoln, Nebraska died on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Arlo was born on September 6, 1927 to Hilbert and Emma (Glinsmann) in Rockville, Nebraska. Arlo grew up and received his education at several schools in Sherman County, Nebraska. In 1944 he graduated from Ashton High School. He worked as a farmhand, served in the Korean War 425th Transportation Group 8th Army, and was an employee of the U.S. Department of Agriculture working for the Bureau of Reclamation and the Soil Conservation Service. He retired in Tecumseh, Nebraska after 31 1/2 yrs with the government.

Arlo married Melva Henderson on June 20, 1954 in Loup City, Nebraska. Three children were born to this union, Terry Rae, Lori Ann, and Ronald Arlo. Survivors include his wife, Melva; daughter and son-in-law Terry and Joel Wiegand of Grand Island, Nebraska; daughter Lori Cook of Lincoln and son Ronald Hackbart of Omaha Nebraska. Seven grandsons, Jon and Michelle Wiegand of Gretna, Nate Wiegand of Omaha, Greg and Stacey Cook of Brownville, Chad Franssen-Cook of Lincoln, Taylor Hackbart, Connar Hackbart, and Riley Hackbart of Omaha. Great grandchildren Braelynn Wiegand, Wyatt, and Lexie Cook.

Cremation, no visitation.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at 2:30 P.M. at Wyuka Funeral Home.

Burial with military honors will be in Wyuka Cemetery.
