Larry D. Rider Jr., age 88, passed away July 18, 2013. He was born on November 30, 1924 in Omaha, Nebraska to Larry and Mary Rider.

He is survived by his daughter, Virginia (Tony) L. Hutto; granddaughter, Emily (Jonathan Fernandez) K. Essl; grandson, Leigh (Morgan) M. Hutto; great-granddaughters, Kennedy Lynn Hutto and Ella Kate Fernandez; sister, Katherine Mary McCully; brother, Raymond Frank Rider; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Larry attended Lincoln High School prior to his military service in the United States Navy and graduated from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln in 1952.

Visitation and a memorial service were held in San Antonio, TX earlier this week.

A graveside service and interment will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Wyuka Cemetery in Lincoln, Nebraska with a short visitation at 9:00.
