Bobbie D. Michaud

Bobbie Dean Michaud, 86, passed away peacefully at Havelock Manor on Tuesday (1/21/14).  Born 11/1/1927 on a farm near Nora, Nebraska.  Attended school in Nora, Nebraska and graduated from Superior High School.   Married Dorothy V. Lewis, November 7, 1948 in rural Bostwick, Nebraska.  Bobbie was a husband, father, mechanic, farmer, in the Navy during the Korean War, a mechanic and maintenance supervisor in the Army National Guard.  He retired at the rank of CW4 from the Army Reserve on November 1, 1987 and retired as a machinist in 1995.  Bob belonged to Nebraska National Guard Historical Society, Nebraska Military Retiree Council, Nebraska Army National Guard Officers Association. 

Bobbie is survived by his twin brother Billie Michaud & sister Helen Marie Erickson.  Sons, Garald and Yvonne (Forney) Michaud of Mt. Hope, Kansas,  James and Iris (Holtzman) Michaud of Anchorage, Alaska, Mark and Lois (Glass) Michaud and Brian and Terri (Jaworski) both of Lincoln, Nebraska.  Grandchildren are Kaleb & Tzeyu, Sara, Zachary & Lori, Rachel, Joel and Marisa, Joshua, Logan, Samantha, Garrett; 5 great-grandchildren several cousins, nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by his wife Dorothy (Lewis) Michaud, parents, Henry & Manila (Buckles) Michaud, sister, Donna Lee (Michaud) Holsteen, son Robert Michaud and great-grandson Drake Michaud. 

Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Wyuka Funeral Home.  Visitation will be Friday, January 24th at Wyuka Funeral Home from 4:00-8:00 P.M. with the family being present from 6:00-8:00 P.M. 

Burial with military honors will take place at Wyuka Cemetery. 

Memorials to the American Parkinson Disease Association of Nebraska or the Nebraska National Guard Historical Society.

  1. We had the pleasure to call Bobbie and Dot friends. We enjoyed serving with Bobbie in the National Guard. We also enjoyed the many hours we played cards in their home. May you rest in peace Bobbie. To the family, please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

  2. We are sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. As a young girl, I spent summers with Uncle Henry and Aunt Minnie. I have many good memories of those summers. Bob, Bill and the girls kept me busy and Saturday nights were so much fun. May God give you comfort and peace in the days ahead
