Patrick Schmidt, 52, of Lincoln, passed on October 24, 2015. Patrick Troy Schmidt was born in Alliance Nebraska on August 26, 1963. Patrick has six living brothers and sisters. He is preceded in death by his Father James Sr. (March 2009) and his Mother Emma (September 2015) and two brothers. Patrick loved his family and spent many hours with his parents and siblings. He was a loving uncle to his many nieces and nephews. Patrick met his domestic partner in September 1992 and was with him until his death. Patrick received his GED diploma from University of Nebraska in December 1980. Patrick studied cosmetology, and worked in several food service locations in Lincoln and Kearney NE, and Farmington NM; and entertained many under the stage name of Kristine Decory. Patrick/Troy was keenly interested in his Native American roots, spoke Lakota, and was a registered member of the Rosebud Sioux tribe. Patrick/Troy had a strong personality, was a leader and tried to make friends with as many people as he could. Patrick struggled with addictions and attended treatment several times along with attendance in AA meetings. His final months were spent alcohol free. Patrick /Troy will be missed by his family and friends who are grateful to have had the privilege of his company in our mutual journey through life.
