  1. Linda, your Mom is one of my treasured memories of growing up in NP. When Chris and I walked to your house to pick you up for school we could always tell when your Mom had made you pancakes for breakfast….your house smelled so good. Now that I think of it–EVERY morning it smelled like pancakes at your house. She would make you practice the organ before we left so you always had an audience. I also remember the twinkle in her eye and her sweet smile. Good memories of Myrtle. Thinking of you and your family. Blessings & Peace, Lynn

  8. I didn’t know Mrs. Schroeder well myself but she was an important part of my dear Father’s last years at the Legacy. I know that Clyde looked forward to seeing Myrtle at Bible studies at the Legacy and they enjoyed many hours in each others company. He knew that she loved the Lord which was a bond they shared. The loss is hard for those left behind but we know she has moved on to her real home now. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Joy Ingwerson (Clyde Ingwerson’s daughter)

    • Thank you for your warm thoughts on mom’s memory page. Clyde was so special to my mom and greatly missed when he passed away. She spoke of him so very often. They had a wonderful godly relationship and were great companions.

  9. My condolences to the family. I was good friends with Myrtle and Herb when I lived in North Platte and was secretary to Pastor Olson at First Presbyterian Church. Myrtle was a good friend and a wonderful, religious lady. I had the opportunity to see and talk to her occasionally when she lived at the Legacy here in Lincoln. May God grant you peace during this difficult time of loss. Phyllis Kendle Cummins

    • Mom told me when you had stopped to visit her. She had a good long life, but it is not enough for those who love her. She is in much better hands now, and I can’t wait to see her again someday, in our heavenly home. Thanks

  10. We have so many good memories of fun times at Myrtle & Herb’s home in North Platte at Christmas and also at the Lake Cabin when all the cousins got together. She was a great hostess and a wonderful Christian lady. Now she is re-united with Herb. May happy times be a comfort to her family, and God give you all peace and strength in the days to come.
