Remington Jon Holmes, 36, of Lincoln, born March 10, 1983 in Lincoln to Jon and Cheryl (Janssen) Holmes. Passed away in his home, surrounded by family on March 26, 2019.
He graduated from Lincoln High School in 2001 and the LPS Voices Program in 2003. He remained active in the community. Somewhat of a local celebrity, Rem couldn’t go anywhere without running into someone who knew him. To know Rem was to love him.
Remington is survived by his parents; step-mom, Charlotte Holmes; sister, Kealey (Joel) Snyder; nieces, Kamryn and Kylan Snyder; nephew, Kruz Remington Ray Snyder; aunts, uncles and cousins. Extended Family Home Providers; Muggs Koperski & family, and Lonny & Joni Hall. Special care providers; Jodi Sommers and Lora McCarville and countless others throughout Rem’s life through Abled and Region V Services.
He is preceded in death by cousin, Tami Janssen; god-parent and uncle, Doyle Janssen; grandparents, Neal and Vonese Holmes; grandparents, Richard and Viola Janssen; step-grandma, Grace Janssen. Extended Family Home Provider, Steve Bonnett and Ted Koperski
A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Messiah Lutheran Church, Lincoln. Family greeting at 10:00 a.m.

I was blessed to work with Remington at Humann Elementary School. He was somewhat a famous Lincolnite – I would run into him periodically and never forgot him. I am so sorry for your loss.
