May 30, 1923 – April 27, 2019

Ruth Marie Shephard passed away April 27, 2019 at Hearthstone General in York, Nebraska (formally Lincoln). She was the oldest of three children born to Alexander and Sarah Stoehr in Lincoln, Nebraska.  She graduated from Lincoln High School and Lincoln School of Commerce.  She was a long time employee of Lincoln City Utilities Department until she retired in 1990.  She was a past member of the American Legion Auxiliary, P.B.O. Does, and St. Paul United Church of Christ. Ruth was also a faithful and loyal Nebraska Husker Football fan and attendee.

Ruth is survived by her son Thomas Green of Orangeburg, S.C., and daughters; Terri (Dave) Watermeier of Lincoln, NE and Suzanne (Terry) Anstine. Hastings, NE.  Grandchildren:  Joshua (Toni) Green, Kayli (Danny) Saathoff, Allison (Jeff) Horejsi, Alexandra Anstine and Zane Anstine.  Great Grandchild:  Ethan Green.   Sisters:  Wilma Vidlock and Donna Mark.

Funeral Services:  10:30 am.  Wednesday, May 1 at  Wyuka Chapel.  In lieu of flowers, suggested memorials to:  American Heart Association or Hearthstone General of York, NE.
