Betty Lou (Ewing) Roggenkamp, age 91, passed away December 12th, 2019 in Lincoln, NE. She was born May 14, 1928, in Wamego, Kansas to Louie A. Garfield Ewing and May Elizabeth Harris. She graduated from Wamego High School in 1946. Betty Lou married Marcellus U. Roggenkamp September 18, 1947 in Wamego. He preceded her in death June 14, 2003.
Betty Lou worked at the Elgin Plant, Western Electric, Good Year, American Stores, Lincoln Snack, and the INS Scott Project. She bowled for American Stores, was a Cub Scout leader and a member of the Altar Society (Huskerville). She lived in Wheaton, KS, Huskerville and Lincoln, NE. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Margie D. Ewing, and two sons, Marcus and Nicholas Roggenkamp. She is survived by one son, Bruce (Cindy) Roggenkamp of Lincoln and her nieces/nephews.
Services will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 1420 K Street in Lincoln on December 18, 2019 at 2:00 pm.
Inurnment will be at a later date in the Louisville, KS cemetery.

I knew Bette Lou through my parents Charles and Bette Segobiano. I babysat the 3 boys when our parents went out dancing. I was around 13. I remember Bette had the best laugh. I can still remember that sound.
