  1. To the family and friends of Jerry. This is will be a difficult time for you as you look back at the times you spent with Jerry. I know this as I have also lost someone very dear to me, my father, I was 21 years old at the time. I’m especially thinking about Jerry’s children now. I envision Jerry the last couple of months as being angry, confused and alone. However, I do take comfort in knowing that God was with him all along. I often reflect on this poem during my time of sadness and found some comfort. I hope you will also find comfort reading it.
    Footprints in the Sand
One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord. Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand. Sometimes there were two sets of footprints, other times there was one only.
This bothered me because I noticed that during the low periods of my life, when I was suffering from anguish, sorrow or defeat, I could see only one set of footprints, so I said to the Lord,
“You promised me Lord, that if I followed you, you would walk with me always. But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life there has only been one set of footprints in the sand. Why, when I needed you most, have you not been there for me?”
The Lord replied, “The years when you have seen only one set of footprints, my child, is when I carried you.”
Peace to all of you, Theresa Ourada

  2. Jerry, You will be missed. You loved and befriended my son, his girlfriend and her entire family and embraced them all as your own. I’m so sorry you will never know your new baby daughter, Alyscia. She is a beautiful part of you that will live on. We know you will be watching over her in death as you would have in life. May your family, every one of them, be blessed.

    Jerry’s Family and Friends,
May you all be blessed and take this time to remember Jerry and what he would have wanted and all he loved as he had a big, big heart. Bigger than most. He should be remembered for this. That’s the way I will remember him.

    Godspeed Jerry… Many Blessings
    Carleen

  3. Jerry, you were my brother and friend. We had alot of good times as well as a few bad times the short time we knew one another. You asked me to look out for Stacy and the girls as I promised you I would. I love you my friend and will miss you and your company. Watch over me from above my friend and help guide me through the rest of my life. We will see each other again someday, as I hope you will be waiting at the gates of the stairway to heaven for me. You will be missed by alot of friends.
