I was very sad to learn of Andy’s passing. He was definitely someone who was full of life and lived every moment. I knew him and his family early in my life and reconnected with Andy on FB a few years ago. I know he was passionate about his family and fur babies. He put a lot into whatever he undertook. He made eggrolls from his Mom’s recipe! Please know I hold you all in my prayers and wish for some comfort in God’s gift of eternal life.

Andy was on the Boy Scout board here in Lincoln and I had the chance to work with him often on different projects. Andy was kind, funny, positive and passionate about helping non-profits succeed. I always enjoyed working with Andy on our Prepared for Life Auction event, and I will never forget that AWESOME Pinewood Derby Car that he had made for the Ameritas entry one year, it was a giant tooth. It wasn’t the fastest car, but it was very original! Andy was very proud of the car that his team had made. Andy made a big difference on our board and helped do lots of good for thousands of Scouts served by the Cornhusker Council.

We worked at Met Life at that time until I went to work for BlueCross BlueShield of Illinois and met me current wife, Anne. Andy loved to laugh,, joke around, lift weights, play sports, and cook. He was great to be around. Sometime he would do impressions of other people and make faces just to make me laugh. I have thought about him from time to time over the years and was happy to hear that he got married. It makes me sad to hear that he has passed away.
