Betty Jean Frye age 86 of Lincoln, Nebraska passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2013 in Lincoln. She was born in Clinton, Missouri on May 1, 1927 to Bert and Dola (Williams) Omans. Betty was a homemaker and a stay at home mom to her four sons and she loved music and her pets.

Betty is survived by her children, Chuck and Ardess Connel; Bob and Sue Connel; Harry and Susan Frye; Jerry and Cindy Frye; many grandchildren; nieces; nephews; sister, Dorothy Martin of Little Rock, Arkansas; brother, Elmer Omans of Detroit, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Kenneth of 54 years, and her brother Marvin Omans who was killed in the Korean War.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Homestead Rehabilitation Center and St. Elizabeth Hospital for their support in Betty’s final days.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Wyuka Cemetery.

Burial will be in Wyuka Cemetery.

Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
