Elly, my heart goes out to you and your family. I’m honored to be your friend and loved Carl and our neighborly chats. He will be greatly missed and impacted my life in many unspoken ways. Much love, Sunny.
We’ll have mint tea and more good conversations as all settles…it was comforting to see you at the church ceremony, Sunny. Love, Elly
Dear Elly and Family:
I was saddened to learn of Carl’s passing. I knew him as a man always moving forward, making contributions, looking for new challenges – unafraid. You both remain fixtures in my memory. Deepest condolences.
Bob Merline – Fish Creek
Bob, Thank you for your sympathetic words — Carl was indeed special and all who got to know him thought so. We will all miss him. Elly Hart
We are so sorry to hear of your loss, Elly. All of our sympathies to you and your family. We remember so many fine and fun things about “Bud,” especially John who knew him longer and better. He was very talented and special in so many ways, and will be missed by all who knew him.
Thanks Ann and John for your kind words. Yes, John, Bud and I had some terrific times together in Chicago in the early fifties. Also remember fondly our get-togethers in Madison when our children were still toddlers. He was indeed, a remarkable person, and despite ups and downs we had 60 years of shared “just about everything.” Truly a blessing! Love, Elly
Elly, I am sorry for your loss. I didn’t know Carl long, but I met you both through the Senior Center gym. I always found you concerned about my health and very easy to talk to. I really appreciated the fact that you were concerned about my health. Elly, I hope you will keep coming. I look forward to seeing you at the gym often. Carol Griffith
Thanks, Carol for you kind words — Carl and I hadn’t seen you in a while at the Fitness Center and were hoping you were okay — glad to hear you’re still with us and yes, as things settle I’ll be coming back.
