As I scan the list, I count 11 Carols! But there was only one Carol Ide.

Carol was instrumental to my sanity in my early days at the Lied, and in addition to her making it possible to have a night off when I needed it, we became buds: I got to visit the beautiful Ide home, and we both had significant others who studied Philosophy. What a ray of sunshine you are, Carol.

Vaya con Dios, Carol! Thank you for being you and my absolute best to Harry & Andrew. Carol, you are missed.

We were so sorry to read of Carol’s death.

Our memories go back to Beattie School days, when Andrew and Toby were in the same class. Carol was a room mother at the same time that I was; the boys enjoyed the results of our party planning.

Those are the memories we will keep of her.

She was a good, kind, brave, strong, and honest person, and I always looked forward to chatting with her both at the library and the Lied Center. Michael and I send our very deepest condolences to her beloved Harry and Andrew.

What a treasure Carol was to so many people here in Lincoln. Through her work at the Lied, Gere Library and as an active member and volunteer through the UNL Fculaty Women’s Club, Caro’s life touched many, many people and will be very much missed. Our deepest sympathies to you and all of Carol’s family.

I was saddened to hear of Carol’s passing, your entire family has my sympathy.
Carol and I worked @ Gere Library, she was always so kind and understanding. Carol would go “above and beyond” to help each library patron find the information or book they were looking for. She took a genuine interest in the library patrons and her co-workers. I have missed her these last few summers, she was a joy to work with each year.

Amazingly she recognized my name from the Lied Center usher staff and we had a really nice visit. She was a joy to know….always friendly and upbeat. She always took the time to talk, even when she was on a tight schedule. We miss you, Carol.

Ever since YF days at Bethany have I considered her my SISTER. My heart goes out to her family, but we can rejoice that she is over her suffering. God Bless you all.
