We talked about everything from food, family, art, philosophy, the bible and on and on. It was so intense that I got a speeding ticket half way home. Carren helped me host my MA graduation party in 2000. She was the queen of aesthetics and such an amazing hostess herself. Tice and Carren threw fabulous parties and I feel so lucky to have been part of them. I put a little fresh mint in my fruit compote this morning, in memory of Carren. Sending my deepest sympathy to Tice and your dear sons Dane and Graeme, who she adored.

She was such an amazing presence, exuding energy, fun and happiness. You couldn’t help but be drawn to her. Most of all, it was clear how much she adored her family and we join them in their sorrow and terrible loss. We were lucky to have known her even for a short time.
