Darrel Dietrick Butts “Coach Rocko” age 72 of Lincoln died on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 in Lincoln.  He was born on October 18, 1939 in Lincoln to Melvin D. and Hazel (Palmer) Butts.  Darrel was a graduate of Lincoln Northeast H. S. He was an avid sports fan, supporting  UNL, Nebraska Wesleyan, the Los Angeles Lakers and Dodgers. Locally, he coached girl’s softball and men’s basketball for many years. Darrel was a former member of the Faith Lutheran Church. 

Darrel is survived by his sisters, Alberta (Rod) Martyn, Judy (Ronald) Legg, Sandra (Mark) Sendtko, and his brother, Randy (Prudence) Palmer. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2012 from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. at Wyuka Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. at Wyuka Funeral Home with Pastor Brad Beckman officiating.

Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery.
