It was a true joy just to be in her presence. I became friends over the years with Leon and Dell being faithful listeners to our radio station. It is comforting to think of the two of them being reunited. I know Dell will sparkle in heaven, just as she did on earth. My heart goes out to her family and friends – and may the happy memories bring you comfort.

She was the kindest and sweetest person you could ever ask for as a neighbor. Living on Spyglass Lane and raising our kids together was such a joy. I always knew I could count on Dell. The neighborhood kids loved her because they knew that Dell always had the candy and the adults new Leon and Dell always had a cold beer. Many found memories of our front yard block parties.
I am so sorry for your loss. She was a special lady. Prayers for Lee and family at this time.

A beautiful person inside and out. With a smile that could light up a room.

When I was living in Lincoln, Dell and Leon were special friends to many of us. I can still hear her voice and laughter. Lee, you were blessed to have them as parents. Your mothers passing is sad, but she is with your Dad now!

Many moving to and living in Lincoln remember Dell at 1st National Bank in the late 60s and during the 70s.

Many of our friends including Leon’s sister, Joan, from past years have been catching up with each other and are amazed as to how our lives and friendships were entwined through the years because of knowing Dell and Leon.

I can hear the chatter of Dell and Leon as they are looking down on us with smiles and laughter! May they continue to be happy ever after.

I am grateful to have known Dell. She will be remembered as a generous and gracious lady who spent many hours helping with the Pius X Adoration program. Let us rejoice that our faith assures us that we will all meet again at the eternal family reunion in Heaven.

I used to work with Dell at 1st National Bank. We also used to double date. It was so fun because my husband also goes by ‘Del’ so we’d all have to say “one L” or “two L’s” when having conversations. I also bowled with Dell. Lots of happy memories of her. She was a gem and will be greatly missed. My sympathy and prayers go out to her son, Lee and other family members.

I loved her big blonde hair and her even bigger personality. Sending love and prayer to her family, especially Lee.
