Don Paul Hetrick

Don P. Hetrick, age 85 of Lincoln, Ne passed away surrounded by his loving family on Sept. 2, 2019.  He was born Oct. 16, 1934 in Lincoln to Amanda and Louis Hetrick.  Graduated from Lincoln High School, married Norma Jean Roth July 3, 1953.

Don worked as a truck driver, a mechanic for Auto Hospital, Batliner Paper Recycling, and later was co-owner of A & J Recycling. 

Don loved camping, was a member of Vagabonds and Courageous Ramblers.

Don is survived by his wife Norma of Lincoln, Sons Paul Hetrick (Lincoln), Randall Hetrick (Dickenson, Tennessee), Steve (Mary) Hetrick (Lincoln).  Daughters Amanda (Dennis) Nydegger (Lee’s Summit, Missouri), Bonnie Keyes (Geneva, Nebraska), Machelle (Mickey) Hetrick (Lincoln).  Grandchildren: Troy, Justin, and Jeremy Nydegger, Heather and Johnathan Snyder, Sarah Hetrick, Lindsey & Kelsey Hetrick, Samantha Walsh.  9 Great-Grandchildren.  Sister Pearl Shaw, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Don is preceded in death by parents, 1 brother, 2 sisters, 1 grandchild.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 6 at Wyuka Funeral Home and Cemetery.
