My condolences.

Dorothy found me in early 2015. Lincoln Journal Star had run an article about Haiti’s Childrens Hope Org. and our work in Haiti.

She drove to our small farm to deliver items to help our children’s ministry. She shared her items, funds and her life. She loved and served with excellence. She was a lover of God and children.

She had a mission and a story that touched my life and all she came in contact with.

She will be missed, as this world needs more Dorothy’s. I just saw her in late July.

Thanks for blessing us Dorothy.

The first time I ever entertained at Brentwood Estates, a kind woman walked up to me and said “You must be Tom. We are excited to hear you perform today”. And she hands me a glass of water and said “I’m Dot, let me know if there’s anything else you need.”
I feel blessed to have gotten to know her.

That picture is the way I want to remember her. I still take my car ( her namesake) with me wherever I go. She always used to brag that I took Dorothy with me wherever I went. She would just laugh. Two things that never let me down…her love she showed me and her little car! I vowed to never get rid of my car (Dorothy). That a little piece of her kindness is always with me.

Dorothy touched my life with the time we spent together at Brentwood. She was always there to listen and give a helping hand. She was the most generous and thoughtful person I have ever met in my life. She taught me so much. I bought her little car which I drive daily and even named it Dorothy after her. Two things in this life that never let me down were her and that little car. She touched my heart and knowing her has definitely, I feel, made me a better person. She always had an ear if I needed to talk. I know if anyone is with the Lord she is. Thank you for being my friend and showing me the way. Your friend Jesse

Dorothy and my Grandma, Leona Couch, were good friends. We celebrated many occasions with Dorothy! I remember her big house where we were always welcome. Dorothy was always willing to help where ever needed-she would talk, listen, cook, pray and know exactly what to do for every one!! I can picture her and Grandma rejoicing in heaven over a cup of coffee!! Thanks for all the memories!

I will always love Dorothy as a grandmother to me. More than my own in a lot of ways. The times and experiences we had are irreplacable, and something I will always cherish, but I also know that she is home now, and we will meet again. I can’t wait to see and meet all of the friends ik she will make in heaven. She is now, but always has been an angel for more than most can imagine. God bless those she touched.
