Jolene and Keith, you were the best neighbors–I know that both Mom and Dad treasured your friendship. The comment about Mom’s personal style was so sweet. I have always wanted to emulate her in that way. Thank you for your thoughtful note.

We never had the chance to know each other very well, but I always enjoyed seeing you on those few occasions that we were together. It’s nice to think of our mother reuniting with so many loved ones that went before her including your father, Gerald Sieck. I hope all is well with you. love, Jo

I didn’t see her often but have kept several watercolor note cards from her over the years and will cherish them. I remember her as a lovely and kind person. My sympathy to your family.

We would talk outside over her garden or ours. I kept a little fold-up stool in my wheelbarrow so she could sit and talk if she wanted to.

I have great memories of going out to our lake and sitting with Erma on the swing watching the moon come up. We would make our little dates earlier in the day. Marv often went to bed before we came back up, but he always turned on the back deck light so we could find our way.

I loved her art, her style. I went around the house this morning and counted eight paintings I bought from her over the years. She always exhibited her art at Art-in-the-Park, and she made sure I showed up there too.

She had great personal style too. Her pretty hair and her gorgeous eyes won’t be forgotten here. When she dressed up she was elegant.

I had her recipes and she had mine.

I’ve thought of her fondly all these years, and I’m sure I always will. She was a good neighbor and a good friend.

Erma was a wonderful aunt to me, Gary, and our kids. I will always treasure the artwork I have of hers. The twins are back together now and with their other loved ones.
