Eugene R. Bender, age 68 of Lincoln died Monday, March 14, 2011 in Omaha.  Born June 1, 1942 in Washington, D.C. to Clarence A. and Josephine (Fairfax) Bender . 

Survivors include Wife: Ella of Lincoln, Daughters and Sons-in-law: Bridgette and Eric Hawkins of Maryland, Connie and Shawn Towsend of Washington D.C.  Son and Daughter-in-law: Eugene and Mary Bender of Washington, D.C.  Mother: Josephine Travis,  Sisters and Brothers-in-law: Barbara and William Anderson, Yvonne and Lee Mickle, Eunice and Lewis Richardson, Claudia Burley.  Brothers: Joseph Bender, Steven, Allen and Bernard Bender.  12 Grandchildren.  Preceded in death by: Father and 4 brothers. 

Visitation will be held at Wyuka Funeral Home Thursday, March 17, 2011 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.

Funeral Service will be held at Christ Temple Church, 500 N. 25th, March 18, 2011 at 11:00 A.M.

Additional funeral services be held in Washington D.C.   Arrangements in Washington D.C. will be handled by the BF Taylor Funeral Home, 1722 N. Capitol St. NW, Washington, D.C. 20002.
