They worked many years in the Friend Chamber of Commerce helping make what Friend is as a town today.Also my thanks for the many years of service in the Navy to our country. We will keep him in out memories !!!

He was also a supporter of the Veteran’s Memorial we just completed in Wilber, Ne. His name/picture and other data can be viewed at http://www.windyprairie.com Click on the Veterans info button for saline county to view. I remember that we always had our building insurance with Gene and we would always come down to the meeting with our annual billing and buy a round of drinks for all the members in attendance. There were times when we didn’t have the funds to pay him right away and several times he carried us for several months til we came up with the premium. He was a gracious and generous man always willing to help our cause. Condolences to the family and may he rest in peace.
