Gary Dean Palmer age 72 of Lincoln, Nebraska died on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at the VA Hospital in Omaha. He was born on July 20, 1940 at Pine Ridge, South Dakota to Guy Tug and Josephine (Dixon) Palmer. He served in the US Army from 1963 to 1965. He worked construction for most of his life.

Gary is survived by his friend, Ruth Palmer of Lincoln; daughter, Jacilyn and David Allen of Lincoln; daughter, Janet Palmer of Lincoln; son, Jason Palmer and Elizabeth of Grand Island; 8 grandchildren, Josephine, Jorden, Austin, Jason Jr., Jadeyn, David Jr., Jeralyn, Jemma; sister, Hope Fankhauser of Gordon; sister, Sheryl Musfelt of Gordon. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 1, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Wyuka Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, April 1, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Wyuka Funeral Home.

Burial with military honors will be in Wyuka Cemetery.

Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
