GEORGE H. DOERING, age 79 of Lincoln, passed away on the morning of Nov. 26, 2014 surrounded by his family. George was born in Havana, Cuba the son of Pedro Hernandez and Klarissa Doering. A free spirit, he fought in the Cuban revolution to free his country from the Batista Dictatorship. When the revolution was declared communist – George came to America, settling in Lincoln in 1963; he ran his own business here for forty plus years.
He is survived by his wife Yolanda; a son, Eric (Marlyn) Doering; daughters, Estela Hernandez, Sarah (Sandro) Sandoval, and Becky (Josh) Fleming; grandchildren, Anthony Estrada, Jorge Estrada, Stella Sandoval; and four nieces and nephews.
George was preceded by his parents and sister Estela Perez-Morell.
Graveside Services will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, November 28, 2014 at College View Church Cemetery at 70th & Pioneer St., Lincoln, NE. Pastor Alejandro Dovald will be officiating. Wyuka Funeral Home is handling arrangements for the family.
