Gunta Leitis

Gunta Leitis, 56, of Lincoln, passed away on November 15, 2022.

Visitation will be held from 12-1:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 22 at Wyuka Funeral Home. Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 P.M. the same day. Burial will follow services in Wyuka Cemetery. Gunta was born to Alberts and Elvira Arnicane on November 3, 1966, in Latvia. Following primary education, she attended the University of Latvia, obtaining her Master’s degree in Accounting. Following graduation, she worked as an accountant for many years. In 2003, Gunta met Janis Leitis. After developing a close relationship, it was clear that this was God’s intention. The two were married on May 7, 2004. To this union, a son Alexander was born and gave Gunta her dream job of being a mother. She loved to knit and excelled at it. She also loved to garden and take pride in her work. She loved her flowers.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Left to cherish her memory are her Loving Husband Janis Leitis; Son Alexander Leitis as well as a brother and sister back home in Latvia.
