John “Jack” H. Reed, age 89 of Lincoln, died August 27, 2016 in Elkhorn, Neb. Born Mar. 22, 1927 Jack graduated from Raymond High School and worked as a farm laborer most of his adult life.  He served in the US Navy during WWII and was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Lincoln, Neb.

Preceded in death by parents Pete and Margaret (Steffen) Reed; wife, Eula I. Reed (Gross); and son, Lane A. Reed. Survived by daughter Lori (Troy) A. Christensen; daughter in law Shelley Reed; grandsons Evan and Jesse Christensen; brother Bill (Janice) Reed; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.  Memorials to the family; VFW Waverly; or American Legion Post #3.
