I remember her as a positive and upbeat person who did a tremendous amount of work for the Girl Scout council. I was new to the organization in those days, and made frequent errors. Joy would let me stumble around for a while, trying to figure out the problem myself. Then she would gently push me towards a solution. It was always perfect! I laughed and laughed a couple of times when I thought about how she had managed me. I had a lot of fun with that job, and with all of you who put your efforts there. Joy will be missed! It was a great pleasure to work with Joy at Goodrich Middle School. The copy room was right across the way from the library where I worked. She had everything so neat and organized in there and knew exactly where a particular tape was that a teacher requested to show their students. She gave me a lighted flower in a vase and I still have it- the petals have since broken but the lights work, so I’ve kept it. It reminds me of her. She was so kind hearted- it was sad to have her leave Goodrich. My thoughts and prayers are with you and the family. Aleta

I am so sorry to hear of Joy’s death. As cousins growing up together we spent a lot of time together and I have very fond memories. Even though our lives have taken us to different cities and on different paths I will never forget our early years.

You have our deepest sympathy and prayers for your family.

Joy was a lovely person. She was always friendly, kind and helpful.
Such a smart lady and so creative!
She often expressed her love for
her family and she also showed
