My friend Judy and I harassed and teased Jerry when we went to the shop!! He could probably hardly wait till we left! We always had a good fun time.My good friend Judy passed away April 4th 2019. She had cancer. I miss her so much and all the good times that we had together!
Hello to Lori!! With all my love and sympathy. Rosemary Hunt

I have such fond, warm memories of her when I would come to clean, her smile and sweet voice made us feel so welcomed each time. She gave my friend an I a
Craft that she had made and I have it displayed very proudly in my craft room. She also gave me a beautiful scarf that she made and I wear it quite often.
Jerry , please know that I am thinking about you and your family at this difficult time.

She was a wonderful lady, and she has a wonderful family. You were all wonderful advocates for her, which I witnessed when I was at The Woodlands. Good thoughts and prayers for all of you.

She joined the “extended” Thayer family on June 16, 1957 when she married Jerry, whose mother was V. Genevieve (Thayer) Kohl, the daughter of Lovell & Alma Thayer. As the daughter-in-law to Jerome & Gen Kohl, and having been grafted into the Thayer family as a “First Cousin”, Kay was a wonderful member of our huge extended family. These last several years have been punctuated by difficult health issues and our hearts went out to Kay & Jerry anytime we received news of these hardships. Kay was such a loving mother and confidant with an understanding soul and wisdom. Her first responsibility was always to her family, which she loved, was extremely devoted to, and sacrificed so much for throughout her life. She was the “life blood” to the business she and Jerry ran for so many years in Lincoln, and was no stranger to working long hours. Everyone in the extended Thayer family was proud and excited for Kay & Jerry’s business. She was so well known in the community and loved by all. Kay will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her, but especially by Jerry, her children and grandchildren. Our circle of cousins has become so much less because of her absence. Our hopes and prayers are for our extended family to be joined together in eternity, with Kay and those who have gone before, praising God and giving Him the glory as our Lord and Savior.
