Larry Zimmerman, 82, of Lincoln, passed away July 2, 2023. Born in Washington County, KS. Raised in Adair, IA on the family farm. He graduated in 1959 and joined the Army National Guard. Larry moved to Lincoln after his service and met and married his wife, Bonnie.
He retired from Goodyear with over 30 years of employment. He enjoyed farming, collecting & restoring John Deere tractors. Participated in Camp Creek Threshing for many years.
Larry is survived by his wife Bonnie of 57 years, Daughter & Son-in-Law Teresa & Brad Havlovic, Daughter Deborah Kurtz, Son & Daughter-in-Law David & Stacy Zimmerman and Daughter Nancy Zimmerman. 5 Grandchildren Maggie, Jacob, Morgan, Caleb & Hunter.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 10, at Wyuka Funeral Home, Lincoln. Visitation will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 9, at Wyuka. Memorials may be direct to the family for further designation.
I sure enjoyed visiting with Larry when he stopped in for a visit at the Uptown after getting his mail. He sure was an ornery cuss but glad that I got to know him
May he rest in peace he will be missed
Sympathies to Larry’s family,enjoyed visiting with Larry when he would come in the Greenwood Service Station with his canine buddy.Larry sold my husband’s dad’s 620 JD to me for a birthday surprise….as Gary drove out of Larry’s driveway with the 620,both of them had the biggest smile on their faces❣️
One Sunday afternoon he was ill,but family was unable to convince him to go seek medical attention, I was on the Squad that afternoon, and was able to convince him to go to the hospital,with one stipulation…that was,that I would be with him on the ride into Lincoln.May you all find Peace and Comfort and memories fill your hearts.
