Leon Mituro, age 76 of Lincoln, passed away Thurs. Sept. 8, 2016. Born Feb. 20, 1940 in Wilno, Poland to Leonard and Apolonia (Sapsaj) Mituro.  In 1980 he was a solidarity leader of Zielona Gora; this is what brought him and his family to the United States.  He has worked as a Diesel Mechanic for 30 years in the U.S. and as a Welder in Zastal, Poland for 25 years prior.

He is survived by his wife Krystyna; daughters Jolanta (Robin) Derr, Dorota (Kirk) Lindner; granddaughter Natalie Lindner; and grandson Matthew Derr.

Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m. on Sat. Sept. 10, 2016 at Wyuka Funeral Home, 3600 “O” St., Lincoln with Burial following in Wyuka Cemetery.   Visitation: 5-8 p.m. on Fri. Sept. 9, 2016 at Wyuka Funeral Home with family present 6-7 p.m.  Memorials to the family.  Condolences www.wyuka.com
