Lila Joyce Cooper (nee Johnson), age 89, of Pella, IA and formerly of Lincoln, NE passed away from cancer on November 26, 2023. She is survived by her sons Mark, his wife Lynn. Tom and his wife Karen, three grandchildren-Riley, his wife Christina, Lauren and Jessica, one great granddaughter-Zoë and countless nieces and nephews.

Lila grew up in St. Paul, NE where she attended St. Paul High School (Class of 1952). After graduation she spent several years living in Denver, CO where she met life-long friends and enjoyed skiing. Lila spent the majority of her life in Lincoln, NE where she married her best friend’s brother, Richard Arlen Cooper. They raised 2 sons until Richards’s death in 1974. As a single mother, Lila worked at the Dana F. Cole Accounting Firm and at HOME Real Estate.  In addition, she found time to travel, read, sew and cheer on the Huskers.

Lila’s memorial service, inurnment and luncheon will be held on December 14^th at 10:30 am at Wyuka Funeral Home, 3600 O St, Lincoln, NE 68510.
