She was such a special person, full of kindness and fun. I had the joy of working with her during some of my first years as a teacher. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

“People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”

I can’t help but think of this Maya Angelou quote and how true it is for Michelle, as she brought so much happiness to the world- her memory will continue to bring joy to many.

I am deeply saddened by Michelle’s passing. She was an amazing person. I first met her at bus stop for MBS in 6th grade. Michelle lived down the road, and I was the new kid who had recently moved to Baton Rouge. The changes were rough but Michelle was a big help. Our friendship continued through the years and I was so happy when she went Woodlawn. There her passion for volleyball grew exponentially. She was an amazing spirit and will be deeply missed!

I am absolutely heartbroken to hear about Michelle’s passing. Even though we lost touch with each other over the years she has always remained in my thoughts. She was an amazing woman and will always have a special place in my heart.
